Scholarship and Work-Trade Applications

Scholarship Application

Peninsula Permaculture is offering two types of scholarships for the 2009 Permaculture Design Course: a full scholarship and a 1/2 scholarship. All scholarship applications have a $25 non-refundable application fee. Applicants need to write an essay, email the essay to Peninsula Permaculture, and pay the application fee. See below for details.

Deadline:Essay and payment due by 11:59pm Sunday May 17, 2009.

Scholarship Recipients Notified: Between June 1st and June 5th, 2009

Essay: Write an essay describing a little bit about yourself and why you should receive a scholarship. Include

  • Why you are a candidate for scholarship,
  • What you would do with the information that you learn in the Permaculture Design Course,
  • Why you need financial assistance,
  • Where you live,
  • And, which type of scholarship you are applying for (full, 1/2, or either)
  •

Work-Trade Application

Peninsula Permaculture is offering a work-trade position for the 2009 Permaculture Design Course. Participants receive a $400 reduction in course fees in exchange for approximately 20 hours doing course-related support tasks. If you would like to be considered for a work exchange position, email a brief letter describing your situation, and pay the non-refundable $25 application fee. Deadline: Essay and payment due by 11:59pm Sunday May 17, 2009.

Work-Trade Recipients Notified: Between June 1st and June 5th, 2009

Essay: Write a 1-2 page essay describing your financial situation and why you would like to receive a work-trade position.
