Exploring a Sense of Place Year-long Course Enrichment Evening: Monday, April 5, 7-9 PM at Conexions Center
We will be looking back at the journey we have taken together through the year, as well as looking forward. As we gather around our “campfire” we will share with one another what has touched us and changed us along the way.
Exploration Day: Saturday, April 10, 2010, 5:15 AM to 11:00 am Naturalist Drew Harwell will be joining us again as our guide. Starting in the near dark, at 5:45 a.m. at the trailhead at the Spring Ridge parking lot on Skyline Blvd., (the one with the restroom and picnic tables. See directions below) we will take a short walk to the top of Windy Hill. From that vantage point we will greet the rising sun (at 6:48 a.m.) and be present to the awakening day. If we are quiet and still we will probably see and hear a variety of birds and other inhabitants of the area since this is the time they are most active and undisturbed. After the sun has arrived we will enjoy breakfast together (provided by the Sense of Place Planning Team). Something hot will be welcomed and most enjoyed as we continue watching the sun transform into day. During the morning Drew Harwell will lead us in a four directions experience. There will be time for group sharing and an end of our journey together. The schedule will be flexible and the weather will determine how long and where we do some of our activities. Cost About the Instructor/Speaker:
