An In-depth Dialogue with Edward Leung CEO and Ruth Fisher, PhD, VP Economics at Secured Environment 

Event Summary 

Driving the Standard for Quantification! Eddie Leung, President/CEO Secured Environment (SECo), was one of the few US clean tech businesses represented at Copenhagen, and the only company with a software product.  SECo provides a smart-phone enabled process for the real-time measurement and accounting of greenhouse gas emissions associated with specific source emitters. The evening will include Eddie's impressions of Copenhagen and a product demonstration. Ruth Fisher, Vice President at SECo will describe how the emissions accounting works.  The evening will include an opportunity for dialogue and networking.

About the Instructor/Speaker: 

Edward Leung, President/CEO, is a GE-trained business strategist responsible for global strategic planning in nuclear energy and industrial systems businesses where he directed risk assessment and environmental security programs protecting of infrastructure and intellectual assets in corporate M&A activities. He was environmental economic advisor to several major projects including projects in water infrastructure (China) and nuclear energy (US and Japan). Mr. Leung was Keynote Speaker for the 2009 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition, and he represented SECo at the USA Pavilion at Bright Green parallel to COP15, The United Nations Climate Change Conference in December 2009.
 
Ruth Fisher, PhD, VP Economics, is Founder and Principal of QuantAA, where she specializes in helping companies define, articulate, and quantify technology profits, costs, and value. She is currently working with Secured Environment Company (SECo), where she has helped model, analyze, and quantify greenhouse gas emissions associated with the movement of goods and people.  Prior to working with SECo, Dr. Fisher worked with Tynax, a start-up that provides infrastructure to facilitate technology transfer by buyers and sellers of intellectual property.  Dr. Fisher is author of Winning the Hardware-Software Game: Using Game Theory to Optimize the Pace of New Technology Adoption.
